$1.7 million for obtaining management positions at customs: the State Customs Service warned of large-scale corruption (photo)

Two persons were informed about the suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 15 h. 4 st. 27 part 4 of Art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the initiator of the crime was detained on the basis of Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office did not allow a group of persons to “place the right people” in management positions in the territorial bodies of the State Customs Service for the purpose of organizing corruption schemes. About this it is said in the notification of NABU.

The investigation found out that one million US dollars was offered for the position of the head of the Lviv customs office, and the positions of the heads of the Volyn and Chernivtsi customs offices were valued at 500,000 dollars. USA and USD 200,000. USA respectively.

In addition, the members of the group expected that the heads of the State Customs Service “will not notice” corruption schemes at these customs in exchange for receiving half of the illegally obtained income. However, the actions of NABU detectives and SAP prosecutors helped prevent the implementation of illegal intentions.

In particular, two persons were informed about the suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 15 h. 4 st. 27 part 4 of Art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the initiator of the crime was detained on the basis of Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine.

It is worth noting that the first part of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person should be considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
