11 strikes recorded in Kharkiv since the beginning of the day, the city was attacked by jet UAVs for the first time

On April 2, since the beginning of the day, Russian troops shelled Kharkiv 11 times, all hits occurred in the Kyivsky district of the city. This was reported by the city’s mayor Igor Terekhov.

According to Terekhov, most of the drones used to attack Kharkiv were jet-powered. This was the first time the Russians had used such drones in the city. He also noted that there could have been more hits, but some of the enemy targets were shot down by air defense forces.

Currently, Russian drones are still being recorded in the suburbs, which may be heading towards Kharkiv.

The enemy’s main target was a critical infrastructure facility in the Kyivskyi district. The first strike by the “shaheed” was recorded at around 01:49. A fire broke out at the site of the hit.

During the night and morning, the city was subjected to several more attacks. Repeated hits were recorded at night and in the morning. As of 06:28, four hits were already known. The fifth arrival confirmed a targeted attack on a critical infrastructure facility.

After 09:00, Russian forces again attacked Kharkiv with drones. At around 10:08, another strike was recorded on the Kyivskyi district.

According to preliminary data, several cars caught fire as a result of one of the strikes. A fire was also confirmed at the site of the first hit.

Information about the victims and the extent of the damage is being clarified. Emergency services are working on the ground.

It is separately reported that two people were injured as a result of a Russian drone strike on a nine-story residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district. They were diagnosed with acute stress reactions. The explosion destroyed the outer wall of an apartment on the ninth floor, damaged window glazing, heating system elements and three cars. Balconies in a neighboring building were also damaged.
