19% of women apply to serve in the Defence Forces of Ukraine: Defence Ministry
Among all Ukrainians who have applied to recruitment centres and are currently undergoing the initial stage of job search and registration, 19% are women. This was reported by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
Since the start of the centres’ operation, 22,763 people have used their services, of whom 5,612 are currently undergoing the preparatory stage. Men make up 81% of the candidates, while 19% are women. Last week alone, recruitment centres received 853 new applicants, and 197 of them have already started the process of preparing for service in the Defence Forces.
The centres offer more than 10,000 vacancies, including positions for lawyers, accountants, UAV operators, doctors, psychologists and other specialists.
The Ministry of Defence emphasises that recruiters provide information services confidentially and without issuing subpoenas. More information about the work of the centres and their addresses is available at recruiting.mod.gov.ua.
