NBU will issue 200 hryvnias with the slogan “Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!”
From February 25, the National Bank of Ukraine will introduce modified banknotes with a face value of 200 hryvnias into cash circulation. On the reverse side of the banknote, in the upper right corner, a patriotic slogan will be placed: “Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!”. This was reported by the press service of the NBU.
The National Bank noted that other design elements and security systems remain unchanged and fully correspond to the 2019 banknotes.
“From February 25, 2026, the National Bank will begin issuing these modified banknotes to Ukrainian banks, collection companies and cash processing companies to further ensure their cash circulation. Citizens do not need to specifically exchange 200 hryvnia banknotes of the previous model for modified banknotes,” the NBU reported.
The modified banknotes will be in circulation together with 200 hryvnia banknotes of previous years of issue and will remain legal tender.
At the same time, starting from March 2 of this year, banknotes in denominations of 1, 2, 5 and 10 hryvnia of the 2003–2007 models are gradually being withdrawn from cash circulation. They are being replaced by the corresponding circulation coins.
