23 Ukrainian children were returned to Ukraine from the occupied territories during the past week

Thanks to the joint efforts of the “Save Ukraine” and “Bring Kids Back UA” charities, 23 children from the temporarily occupied Luhansk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions were returned last week. About this reported founder of “Save Ukraine” Mykola Kuleba.
Among the rescued children there are also three orphans who underwent significant trials during their stay in the occupation. An 18-year-old boy from Energodar witnessed the brutal beating of his father, a former employee of the ZNPP. After reaching adulthood, he was threatened with forced mobilization into the occupation army.
Also among the rescued children is a 7-year-old girl who, together with her mother, hid from the occupiers to avoid deportation. The mother, a former employee of the school, repeatedly refused to cooperate with the occupation authorities and hid the orphans in a dormitory.
Two more sisters, aged 15 and 17, endured multiple searches and interrogations as the Russian military used their home as a base, turning the family into human shields.
A 16-year-old boy was constantly interrogated and detained because of his refusal to obtain a Russian passport.
The message states that the Russian Federation tried to lure children to its schools by promising them monetary payments. However, the level of education left much to be desired, as the teachers became teachers without appropriate qualifications.
“In general, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Save Ukraine organization has already returned 446 children from the occupation and territory of Russia. There is still a lot of work ahead, and the rescuers promise not to stop until every Ukrainian child is freed from Russian captivity.
“Save Ukraine” organization expresses gratitude to all its partners, including BF “Humanity”, We Are All Ukrainians and Ron Wahid, for their support in saving Ukrainian children, – the message says.
