350 people evacuated from Sumy region in a week: OVA

During the week from June 16 to 22, 350 people were evacuated from the Sumy region. In total, more than 12,000 residents have left the region since March. About this reported Oleg Grigorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
“More than 350 people were evacuated this week. In total, more than 12,000 since March,” – says the message.
According to the official, despite the constant shelling, life in Sumy continues – the streets are crowded, businesses are open. Hryhorov also emphasized that in the rear areas of the region, work continues on creating conditions for a normal life: ensuring access to basic services, education, medicine and, most importantly, a sense of security.
We will remind, on June 21, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, announced that there are 695,000 Russian military personnel on the territory of the country. In the direction of Sumy, the enemy advanced 200 meters, but the Ukrainian forces pushed him back to a distance of 200-400 meters.
“The situation in Sumy Oblast is a big problem for the Russians. They want to “sell” success in Sumy Oblast and Kharkiv Oblast. Because if there is no corresponding success, President Trump will rather pressure them with sanctions. During this week, they advanced 200 meters towards Sumy, and we pushed them back 200-400 meters. 23% of all bombs, all strikes on the front, fall on Sumy direction. Mostly bombs and North Korean missiles, which are recorded in large numbers”, — explained Zelensky.
