Economy Minister Yulia Svyridenko reminded that the government has created a number of tools to support the energy sector in order to ensure a stable passage of the next heating season. In particular, the possibilities of the “Affordable 5-7-9 loans” program were expanded, which allows businesses, condominiums, and housing and construction cooperatives to receive financial support for energy projects. Household owners also have access to interest-free loans.
Svyridenko noted that, along with state programs, banks offer their own credit products, and business actively uses this opportunity to finance projects in the field of alternative energy and the restoration of energy infrastructure.
According to the NBU survey, since June 1, Ukrainian banks have already approved 504 loan applications for a total amount of 4.3 billion hryvnias. The largest share of loans for business energy needs was provided by foreign banks – 2.4 billion hryvnias for 114 applications.
