75% of Ukrainians are ready for a ceasefire under the condition of international security guarantees: survey

According to the results of survey of the sociological group “Rating”, 75% of Ukrainians are convinced that Ukraine can agree to a ceasefire if there are international security guarantees.

Among the main conditions, respondents cite financing of the army and the supply of weapons from partners (52%), guarantees from allies to enter the war in the event of a new attack (48%) and international patrolling of air and sea space (44%).

To the question “ What is most important now?” the majority, namely 58%, noted the guarantees of financing the Ukrainian Armed Forces and ensuring sufficient supplies of weapons, while 31% called the return of the occupied territories a priority.

At the same time, 59% of survey participants support the cessation of hostilities and the search for a compromise. 20% are in favor of the continuation of the war until the liberation of Donbas and Crimea, another 13% – until the demarcation line or borders are reached as of February 23, 2022.

Regarding the possible ways to end the war, 62% of Ukrainians consider reaching a compromise through the mediation of other countries as a realistic option, 20% – a compromise through direct negotiations with Russia. Instead, 11% believe that the negotiations should be rejected and fight until the territories are completely liberated.

The survey was conducted from August 21 to 23, 2025 using the method of telephone interviews (SATI) on a random sample of mobile numbers. In total, 1,600 respondents aged 18 and over were interviewed from all regions, except temporarily occupied Crimea and Donbass, as well as territories without Ukrainian mobile communications. The sample is representative in terms of gender, age and type of settlement, the statistical error does not exceed 2.5% with a confidence probability of 0.95.
