The Belgian defense company Thales Belgium reported the appearance of unknown drones over a factory where 70 mm rockets are produced. informs Politico about this with reference to the statement of the director of the company Alain Kevren.

“We are seeing more drones than a few months ago. We are concerned because we have installed drone detection systems at our facilities. We can use jammers to block the signal needed to control drones and shoot them down. But the law doesn’t allow us to do that, – noted Alain Kevren.

He emphasized that European countries should clearly define the limits of responsibility in such cases, namely, where the duties of the police end and the powers of the arms production companies begin. The company clarified that the drone surveillance was carried out over the Évegnée Fort facility in the eastern region of Liege, Belgium.

One of them damaged a residential building and a car in the Lublin Voivodeship, debris fell in several villages. In response, Poland activated Article 4 of the NATO Treaty to discuss the situation. At the same time, Tusk said that the country will not introduce additional restrictions due to the incident.

On September 12, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced the start of the Eastern Sentinel operation. on the eastern flank of the Alliance. The purpose of the operation was called “elimination of specific threats associated with the use of drones”. It will take place in Poland and Romania.
