A center for creating and scaling educational innovations is being launched in Ukraine

In Ukraine create WINWIN EdTech Center of Excellence — a center that will become a platform for development and scaling of educational innovations. It is launched by the Ministry of Digital Transformation together with the Ministry of Education and Science and international partners UNICEF, ESTDEV, Google for Education and the Eastern Europe Foundation.

The center should become an entry point for Ukrainian and global EdTech solutions, integrate them into the education system and form new learning models. Its mission is to unite the state, business, science and the public sector to implement innovative educational solutions that will ensure the competitiveness of Ukrainian education.

“The opening of the WINWIN EdTech Center of Excellence is the next step in the development of the digital ecosystem of Ukraine. Already today, such projects as Mriya, Diya.Osvita and CDTO Campus are changing not only access to knowledge, but also the very logic of the educational process. Innovations are born in business, but it is the partnership with the government and the whole ecosystem that makes it possible to scale them and make them available to millions. WINWIN EdTech CoE should become a breakthrough driver for the entire EdTech sector and increase Ukraine’s global competitiveness. The WINWIN 2030 strategy opens new markets for Ukrainian solutions and launches fast tracks for priority sectors, in particular EdTech, – noted Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

The initiative is being implemented within the framework of the WINWIN Digital Innovation Development Strategy until 2030, approved by the government at the end of 2024. EdTech is identified as one of the priority directions.

“For the Eastern Europe Foundation, supporting education has always been and remains a strategic priority. It is thanks to cooperation with international partners that we manage to develop innovative approaches and educational projects, such as Diya.Osvita, Mriya, CDTO Campus. We are pleased that the pool of partners is expanding, and today we are launching another initiative – the WINWIN EdTech Center of Excellence. This is a step towards Ukrainian education becoming more sustainable, technological and capable of forming a new generation of leaders. After all, it is the quality of education today that will determine what Ukraine will be like tomorrow, – emphasized Viktor Lyakh, president of the Eastern Europe Foundation.

WINWIN EdTech Center of Excellence will focus on solving the key challenges of Ukrainian education: from war-ravaged infrastructure and educational losses to the introduction of inclusive technologies and the development of digital literacy. The center will conduct comprehensive research and look for optimal solutions to ensure quality education.
