Deputy Minister Serhiy Derkach held a meeting with representatives of companies engaged in domestic transportation.
“It’s not about changing the wording in the regulations. It’s about a new system that will be clear for the carrier, convenient for the passenger and transparent for everyone.”, – the deputy minister commented on the goal of the reform.
One of the elements of the reform is the introduction of online tenders for domestic routes, where carriers will submit documents through the Unified Information System (UECI) of Ukrtransbezpeka. The procedure for opening new routes will also take place entirely online, with the processing of documents taking up to three days.
Electronic permits for interregional routes will be generated automatically, and it will be possible to view and change the schedule, bus or route online in the ЕКИС system. All licensed carriers and routes will be available in a single register, which will create prerequisites for combating illegal transportation.
It is also planned to update the regulation of preferential transportation by accounting for all trips thanks to an electronic ticket and monetizing the corresponding transportation. In addition, the Ministry of Development, together with Ukrtransbezpeka, is working on strengthening responsibility for illegal transportation. First of all, we are talking about changes to the relevant legislation, which will make it possible to improve the procedure of prosecution.
