A fraudulent scheme on behalf of Ukrposhta is spreading on the network

A fraudulent scheme acting on behalf of “Ukrposhta” has been activated again in the network. Users receive a message with a request to update the delivery address of the parcel through the specified link – otherwise, they say, it will be returned. In “Ukrposhta” emphasize, that such messages are fraudulent.

In the Center for Combating Disinformation warn citizens: you should not follow such links or enter any personal data, as this opens access to them to attackers. The official website of “Ukrposhta” is ukrposhta.ua.

“Any additional dashes, commas, periods, extra letters indicate fraud. In addition, we do not write to anyone from “unfamiliar” numbers. Do not enter bank details, do not transfer anything to third parties”, – says the message of “Ukrposhta”.

We remind you that on April 3, a well-known fraudulent scheme began to spread again in Telegram: users are sent a request to vote for a “relative” in a contest with a link to an alleged voting site. In fact, this is a phishing resource, the transition to which can cause the loss of logins, passwords, banking access and other confidential information.

In addition, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on April 2 that fraudsters have started using fake “Electronic Petition” pages to extort money and personal data, as well as gain access to bank accounts. To protect yourself, you should always check the website address before entering any information.
