A large-scale technical failure occurred in Ukrzaliznytsia

In Ukraine, on the morning of March 23, it became known about a large-scale technical failure in the systems of “Ukrzaliznytsia”, due to which all online services of the carrier temporarily stopped working. The company “UZ” informed about this Telegram channels.
According to “Ukrzaliznytsia”, a failure occurred in the IT system that ensures the functioning of digital services. Because of this, the carrier’s mobile application, which passengers usually use to buy tickets and check train schedules, is currently completely unavailable. In addition, it is currently impossible to purchase tickets or order additional services through the company’s official website – these services are also not working.
In this regard, “Ukrzaliznytsia” informed passengers about the introduction of additional measures to avoid long queues at stations. In particular, in all major cities, it is planned to increase the number of working ticket offices to serve passengers offline. In this way, the company tries to minimize inconvenience for people planning a trip.
In addition, in order to ensure the possibility of traveling abroad during the period of technical failure, Ukrzaliznytsia decided to temporarily allow the sale of tickets for international flights directly at station ticket offices. This applies to flights departing on March 23 and 24. In this way, passengers of international trains will be able to purchase tickets even if digital services are turned off.
The company did not specify the exact reasons for the technical failure, nor did it provide an approximate time frame for the restoration of online services. “Ukrzaliznytsia” assured that specialists are already working on eliminating the problem and restoring the full operation of the system as soon as possible.
Users are asked to follow official updates on Ukrzaliznytsia channels and, if possible, plan to buy tickets in advance or directly at ticket offices at stations.
