Teachers working in front-line communities will receive a monthly supplement of 4,000 hryvnias after taxes. This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.
“From now on, teachers in the front-line territories will receive an increased monthly allowance of UAH 4,000 after taxes. Such a decision was made at a meeting of the Government. It concerns 25,000 teachers who work in 84 communities of Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv oblasts, says the message.
Funds will be calculated in October for the period from September 1 of this year. Svyridenko added that the State Budget for 2026 foresees a 50% increase in the salaries of teaching staff.
We would like to remind you that from January 1, 2025, all teachers of general secondary education institutions were assigned an additional payment in the amount of 1,300 hryvnias (1,000 hryvnias “on hand”), regardless of the teaching load. The Cabinet of Ministers plans to gradually increase teachers’ salaries: by 30% from January 1 and by another 20% from September 2026.
