Abnormal heat in Ukraine led to power outages in two regions

Abnormal heat in Ukraine has led to an overload of the power system. Emergency power outages occurred in Rivne and Khmelnytsky regions throughout the day, energy companies and local authorities reported.

JSC Khmelnytskoblenergo stated that emergency power outages occurred in certain areas of the city and region due to extreme weather conditions.

The company added that power engineers are already working to restore the distribution of electricity and are making operational switches to supply consumers as soon as possible.

The head of the Rivne Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Koval, also reported emergency power outages in the region due to overloading the power system.

“The abnormal heat has led to an overload of the power system. Because of this, emergency power outages occur throughout the day in the region,” Koval noted.

According to him, power engineers are working in an intensified mode and promptly respond to such cases. He assured that the situation with power supply in the Rivne region is currently under control.

Residents are urged to use powerful electrical appliances safely and rationally and not to overload the system during peak hours, especially from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. According to weather forecasters, the heat may last until July 2.
