About 50 thousand Ukrainians took advantage of the “UZ 3000 km” program

The “UZ 3000 km” program, which is currently being implemented in a pilot format, has already been used by about 50 thousand Ukrainians. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery – Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba.

“We are currently working in a pilot mode, but the program has already been used by about 50 thousand people. There is demand, and it is very important for frontline regions, ” – said Oleksiy Kuleba during a press conference.

The first stage of the “3000” program, which started on December 3, provides for the appearance of free tickets on more than 20 trains connecting with frontline cities and regions. Passengers are offered free seats in reserved and compartment cars of regional trains, as well as in the 2nd class of “Intercity” trains. The launch of the second stage, according to the government resolution, is possible after the creation of the PSO mechanism, which should compensate for the difference between preferential tariffs for passengers and the actual cost of transportation.

At the same time, “Ukrzaliznytsia” estimates that if the current tariffs are maintained and the “3000” program is fully launched, the company’s potential revenue losses could reach about 400 million UAH.
