The fact of Russia’s use of an intercontinental ballistic missile was confirmed by experts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Ukraine became the first country against which Russia used an intercontinental ballistic missile. This information confirmed in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stating that this was the first case of using this type of weapon.
The Center for Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces notes that the Russian strike with an intercontinental ballistic missile was symbolic in nature and is unprecedented in military history. Thus, Ukraine became the first country in the world to be targeted by an intercontinental ballistic missile.
“We will do everything so that Russia remains in history only for its crimes”, says the Center’s statement.
According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on November 21, Russia launched an attack from the Astrakhan region, using an intercontinental missile, probably equipped with a simulator of a nuclear warhead.
Defense Express expert Oleh Katkov noted that the likely launch site is the Kapustyn Yar test site, where the RS-26 “Rubezh” system, which belongs to medium-range intercontinental missiles, is based. Such missiles are designed to deliver a nuclear strike, so such a launch, even with a warhead simulator, looks like a rehearsal for a nuclear strike.
At the same time, representatives of the Armed Forces reported that their experts were finishing work on determining the exact type of missile used by Russia. It is known that it has all the characteristics of an intercontinental ballistic missile.
