About three thousand houses remain without heat in Kyiv
As of the morning of January 22, about three thousand residential buildings in Kyiv remain without heat supply. This was reported by the mayor of the capital, Vitaliy Klitschko, in his Telegram channel.
According to him, the scale of the problem is gradually decreasing, as heat was restored to another 227 high-rise buildings overnight. At the same time, emergency power outage schedules are still being used in the city.
“As of this morning, slightly less than 3 thousand high-rise buildings in the capital remain without heat supply”, – Klitschko noted.
He also stressed that repair crews and power engineers are working around the clock to stabilize the situation in the city.
“Emergency power outages continue in Kyiv. Utility workers and power engineers are working around the clock to restore heat and light to Kyiv residents”, Klitschko said.
Problems with heat supply in the capital worsened after the night Russian strike on January 20. Then, according to the mayor, 5,635 multi-story residential buildings were left without heat, and part of the Left Bank was also without water supply for some time.
