According to the decision of the Verkhovna Rada, Yuriy Boyko is no longer a member of the Committee on Human Rights

On December 19, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a resolution on the recall of Yury Boyk, head of the “Platform for Life and Peace” parliamentary group, from the position of a member of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Human Rights, Deoccupation and Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, National Minorities, and International Relations.

The corresponding decision was made only on the second attempt. 258 parliamentarians voted for him.

About this reported People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

“On the second attempt, the Rada recalled Yuriy Boyk from the post of a member of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Human Rights, De-occupation and Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, National Minorities and Inter-National Relations”, – the message says.

We will remind that earlier Yuriy Boyko published a video on TikTok in which he announced the alleged growing support for his political power thanks to people who, according to him, “suffer from radicals” in Ukraine. He also mentioned the alleged ban on speaking one’s native language.

After that, Boyko was summoned for questioning and publicly apologized for his words. In his address, he urged politicians to unite the country, work for its victory and avoid statements that could be used by the Russian Federation to justify aggression. Boyko also condemned Putin, calling him a “war criminal.”
