When selling a car through the online service, buyers can choose whether to keep the number plates of the previous owner or order new ones starting with the DI series. If the buyer decided to keep the license plates of the previous owner, the vehicle can be used immediately after the registration certificate appears in electronic format. If you order new license plates, you can get them at the nearest Ukrposhta branch.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasizes that this service is available exclusively to individuals and applies only to passenger cars, motorcycles and mopeds. In case of refusal to register the vehicle, the user receives a corresponding message in the “Action” application. After the elimination of the specified reasons, registration will become available again – both online and through the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
