Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak confirmed that his home is being searched by detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP).
“Today NABU and SAPO are indeed conducting procedural actions at my home. The investigators have no obstacles. They were given full access to the apartment, my lawyers are on site, who are interacting with law enforcement officers. From my side, – full assistance”, – Yermak reported.
Previously, NABU informed that detectives were conducting searches at the head of the President’s Office at his place of work. They promised to make the details of the investigation public later.
These actions are taking place against the backdrop of the corruption scandal called “Midas”, which arose in Ukraine after searches and reports of suspicion against businessman Timur Mindich. He is suspected of creating a criminal organization, laundering illegally obtained funds, and attempting to influence former Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
