The Prozorro system recorded record procurements of the State Enterprise “Defense Procurement Agency” of the Ministry of Defense. For the first time in its activity, the enterprise concluded agreements for the supply of Chinese drones worth UAH 9.37 billion.
«Previously, the amounts of contracts per month were much smaller. And even in December of last year, when mass purchases are usually made for the remainder of unspent funds, the amount of contracts was one and a half times less,” – says the material of investigative journalists.
In the current agreements, only information about the cost remains publicly available. In particular, the price of the Matrice 4T drone is about 188 thousand UAH, and the Matrice 4E is about 141 thousand UAH.
According to media reports, within a month after the change in the leadership of the Ministry of Defense in mid-January 2026, when Mikhail Fedorov became the minister, AOZ purchased Chinese drones worth 11.4 billion UAH. This is almost equal to the volume of purchases for the second half of 2025.
