At the request of the military, the Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine carried out the first large-scale purchase of 1,000 maneuverable vehicles through the Prozorro system. It is primarily about ATVs and additional transport that will allow Ukrainian soldiers to respond even faster and more effectively to challenges directly at the front.
According to the results of the auctions, a contract was concluded for the supply of 500 ATVs with a total cost of UAH 119.8 million. At the same time, it was possible to achieve significant savings — the price turned out to be 25.5% lower than the expected purchase price. All equipment should be delivered by the end of 2025.
“This purchase makes it possible to increase the mobility of units. According to the results of the auctions, we have achieved cost savings and ensured the transparency of the process,” – noted the General Director of JSC Arsen Zhumadilov.
The Ministry of Defense emphasized that they will continue to promptly respond to the requests of combat units. The department plans to continue providing the army with modern equipment that meets the real needs and priorities of the front in order to increase the combat capability and mobility of Ukrainian defenders in the combat zone.
