ARMA is looking for a manager for the arrested Russian dry cargo ship worth 109 million hryvnias
The vessel was built in 2000, has 7 holds, the carrying capacity of which is 73,281 tons of deadweight.
The Agency for Search and Asset Management (ARMA) announced the selection of a manager for the arrested Russian dry cargo ship EMMAKRIS III. About this informs ARMA press office.
The vessel, built in 2000, has 7 holds with a carrying capacity of 73,281 tons deadweight and a draft of 6.8 meters. The total length of the ship is 225 meters, and the width is 32.26 meters.
According to the press service, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv transferred this cargo ship to ARMA for management. Currently, the asset is moored near the pier of the Railway and Ferry Complex of SE “Sea Trade Port Chornomorsk” in the Odesa Region.
The appraiser of “Yurformat” LLC established that the asset is in satisfactory condition and can be used, in particular, as a floating grain storage facility for transshipment and storage of dry cargo.
“Over the past year, the cost of grain storage has increased significantly, which is associated with an increase in the cost price and an increase in the risk of product storage. Considering the limited capabilities of the Odesa region’s port infrastructure for the transshipment of grain cargoes, this asset may have a high investment appeal for market operators.”, – noted ARMA Deputy Chairman Stanislav Petrov.
He added that the vessel is currently valued by an appraiser at almost 109 million hryvnias. The next stage of asset management will be the announcement of an open competition for Prozorro to select the manager of this asset.
ARMA is actively looking for a qualified manager for a dry cargo vessel who will be able to effectively use this asset. According to the representatives of the agency, the manager must ensure the proper level of maintenance of the vessel, its maintenance in working condition, and also promote the maximum effective use of the vessel’s capabilities for storage and transshipment of grain cargoes.
The open competition, which will be held on the Prozorro platform, will ensure the transparency and competitiveness of the manager selection process. Each participant of the competition must submit a detailed plan for the use of the vessel, including an economic justification and forecasts of income from its operation.
ARMA hopes that this step will contribute not only to increasing the efficiency of the use of confiscated assets, but also to the development of infrastructure and the economy of the region as a whole.
