ARMA plans to sell assets worth about one billion hryvnias

The Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) has announced the sale of seized assets with an estimated value of UAH 819.92 million, of which UAH 212.01 million is customs duties. The proceeds from the sale will be used to pay into the state budget of Ukraine and to purchase military bonds. This was stated by the Head of the ARMA, Olena Duma.

She noted that a significant portion of the total amount is made up of assets of Russian origin, including pellets, alumina and iron ore briquettes, which are valued at over UAH 593 million.

The assets to be sold include:

  • Iron ore pellets of Russian origin in the amount of 14,673 tonnes, stored in 215 railway cars, with an estimated value of UAH 25.9 million
  • Alumina of Russian origin in the amount of 6,228 tonnes, placed in 90 railway wagons, valued at UAH 72.61 million
  • Iron ore briquettes of Russian origin in the amount of 50,148,716 tonnes, valued at UAH 494.9 million
  • Pine timber in the volume of 471.5475 m³ (1,093 logs) worth UAH 0.8 million
  • Household items – 438 units with a total value of UAH 3.3 million
  • Asic Bitman Antminer electrical equipment – 538 units with an estimated value of UAH 0.5 million
  • The assets will be sold through the Prozorro.Sale electronic system, where everyone will be able to take part in the bidding.

Thanks to the well-established processes at Prozorro.Sale, the budget is replenished daily with proceeds from the sale of seized property. Therefore, ARMA sees the expediency of changing court decisions from management to sale for those assets where possible. Therefore, we are already preparing relevant appeals to the pre-trial investigation authorities and the National Security and Defence Council,’ Duma said.
