As a result of a special operation by the GUR in the Moscow region, a military oil pipeline was destroyed

As a result of a special operation by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, one of the key military facilities of the Russian Federation was destroyed – the Koltsevoy oil pipeline, which provided Russian troops with fuel for waging war against Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the GUR.

The site of the impact of the strategic military infrastructure facility is located in the Ramensky District of the Moscow Region.

The anti-drone net and security did not save the oil pipeline from damage: all three threads, through which the aggressor transported gasoline, diesel fuel and aviation fuel, successfully and simultaneously exploded, and the oil pipeline was put out of action. The Russian authorities sent special services and repair teams to the site of the explosion.

The GUR emphasized that this operation is another serious blow to Russia’s military capabilities, as well as to its economy, especially in the Moscow region.

The Koltsevoy main oil pipeline is about 400 kilometers long. Fuel was supplied to it from the Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod, and Moscow refineries. Each year, Koltsevoy could pump up to 3 million tons of aviation fuel, 2.8 million tons of diesel fuel, and 1.6 million tons of gasoline.

“In fact, our strikes had more impact than the sanctions. It’s just a mathematical truth. We inflicted much greater damage to the Russian Federation through direct action than any economic levers of influence on them that had been introduced to date,” — emphasized the head of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov.
