As a result of an attack by Russian drones, large-scale fires broke out in Odesa, and there are injured people

On October 9, Russia carried out a drone attack in Odesa region, which caused large-scale fires. It is previously known about five victims who are receiving medical assistance. This was notified in the regional emergency department.

The fire engulfed two residential buildings, the administrative building of the gas station and the territory of the port infrastructure object, where containers with vegetable oil, vehicles and fuel pellets were burning. 83 rescuers, 18 units of fire equipment, a fire robot of the State Emergency Service, as well as four volunteers and one fire engine were involved in eliminating the consequences of the attack.

In Odesa OVA specified that four more private houses were damaged. In addition, the energy infrastructure came under attack — more than 30,000 subscribers remained without electricity.

Chornomorsk Mayor Vasyl Gulyaev reported that critical infrastructure is now running on generators. There is no electricity in the community, except for the village of Burlacha Balka. DTEK employees are already working on restoring electricity supply and deploying Points of Invincibility.
