The motorcycle season ended in a decline: what does the motorcycle market in Ukraine look like now?
In 2025, the Ukrainian motorcycle market traditionally declined due to the end of the season, sales decreased by 21% compared to October. At the same time, an increase of 2% was recorded in annual terms, which indicates stable demand for two-wheeled transport as an affordable way of personal mobility.
The seasonal factor had the greatest impact on all market segments. Domestic resales decreased by almost 18% per month, but showed a significant increase in annual comparison. Imports of used motorcycles also decreased compared to October, but increased by more than two-thirds compared to last year. Sales of new bikes decreased both monthly and annually.
In November, 1,429 motorcycles were resold on the domestic market. Despite the monthly drop, this is significantly more than a year ago. The Honda and Yamaha brands were in the greatest demand, as well as Chinese manufacturers Kovi, Lifan and Geon. Among the models sold was the Jawa, which is mostly of interest to collectors. The oldest bike that changed hands was the 1951 IZH-49 – a fully functional motorcycle created based on the German engineering school.
Imports of used equipment amounted to 315 units. Ukrainian buyers most often chose Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki motorcycles, as well as more expensive Kawasaki, Harley-Davidson, BMW and Triumph models. The new motorcycle segment remained the largest in terms of volume, with 2,241 bikes sold, although the figures decreased compared to October and last year. The bulk of sales were provided by affordable Chinese and Indian brands, which attract with their ease of maintenance and price.
In general, the market dynamics confirm that motorcycles in Ukraine are increasingly used not only for leisure, but as full-fledged transport for daily trips.
