In the Sarny district of the Rivne region, a group of the territorial center for recruitment and social support was attacked while performing their duties. According to data of the operational command “West” of the Land Forces of Ukraine, the incident began when the patrol police tried to check the documents of a driver who ignored legal requirements and fled to the territory of a private enterprise.
During the attempted detention, outsiders joined the situation and obstructed the actions of law enforcement officers and military personnel, pulled their uniforms, threw sticks and shouted obscene words. One of the attackers inflicted the most serious blow with a metal scrap, as a result of which the serviceman suffered a fractured rib and bruised lungs.
The victim’s condition is assessed as serious, and doctors are providing the necessary assistance. Law enforcement agencies have classified the incident as violence against servicemen and obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
