Audit of critical enterprises led to a 10% reduction in their number

The state audit of enterprises that previously received the status of critical importance for the economy and, accordingly, the right to reserve their employees, led to a reduction in their number by 10%. This is reported by the publication NV citing own sources. The inspection covered state-owned enterprises and private companies, which, as strategically important, were allowed to protect workers from mobilization. After the audit was completed on November 15, tens of thousands of men of draft age lost their ability to reserve military service.

Companies that have retained their status must now undergo additional verification. According to NV, the new criteria will come into effect on December 1, and businesses will be given a transition period until the end of February to meet the new requirements.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that the audit revealed a number of problematic points that need to be eliminated. Now the criteria for determining the critical importance of enterprises will be coordinated with the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Economy. The key conditions for the private sector will be the salary level of employees (at least 2.5 minimum wages) and the absence of debt to the budget.

It will be recalled that in October, the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Ivan Havrylyuk, explained that the decision on the audit was made due to a sharp increase in the number of booked persons. According to him, 1 million men are currently protected from mobilization. For comparison, in the two previous years, 540,000 people were booked, while in the last few months this figure has doubled.
