Bankrupt banks received more than UAH 336 million: DGF

In October 2024, banks that are in the liquidation stage under the management of the Deposit Guarantee Fund of natural persons received income in the total amount of 336.8 million hryvnias. About this reported in the Foundation.

Among these funds, UAH 82.9 million came from repayment of loans, UAH 62.9 million – from the sale of assets, UAH 30 million – from income from securities, UAH 3.3 million – from property leases, and UAH 157.7 million – from other sources. It is especially worth noting that UAH 70 million of this amount was received at the expense of repaying debt for restructured loans. This is a record monthly figure in 2024.

In total, since the beginning of the year, banks in liquidation have received UAH 3.206 billion. Most of this amount, UAH 1.181 billion, came from the sale of assets. At the same time, UAH 510.5 million was received from repayment of loans, and another UAH 384.1 million was received from income from securities. Income from property rental amounted to UAH 35.9 million, and UAH 1.094 billion came from other sources.

The leaders among banks in terms of revenue in October 2024 were:

  • AKB “CONCORD” JSC – UAH 186.8 million;
  • JSC “MR BANK” – UAH 50.1 million;
  • JSC “Prominvestbank” – UAH 46.8 million;
  • JSC “UKRBUDINVESTBANK” – UAH 21.6 million.

The Individual Deposit Guarantee Fund reports that in order to minimize the negative consequences of the war, simplified loan repayment conditions have been introduced for individual borrowers of banks that are in liquidation. At the same time, the Fund calls on borrowers who have the financial ability to adhere to their debt obligations in order to avoid accumulating a credit burden.

Funds received from the management and sale of bank assets are directed to satisfy the demands of their creditors in accordance with the order established by Article 52 of the Law of Ukraine “On the System of Guaranteeing Deposits of Individuals”.
