Canada will allocate 15 million dollars for the return of Ukrainian children taken to Russia

One of the main topics during the Peace Summit in Switzerland was the return of prisoners and Ukrainian children who were illegally taken to the territory of Russia. During the meeting on the second day of the conference, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau promised that the country would allocate 15 million dollars to help return the young Ukrainians home.
“We must continue to send clear and powerful signals that our solidarity with Ukraine is as strong as ever and will not go away. Russian aggression must stop. It will not be easy. But as a parent, I hope that next year we can all achieve a just and sustainable peace, so that Ukrainian children and families can celebrate Father’s Day together, and so that people and families around the world know that international law and order, based on rules, will be protected and supported by all countries of the world.”, – said Trudeau.
The head of the Canadian government was struck by the fact that questionnaires of children deported from Ukraine appear on Russian adoption websites.
“Children are being forced to forget their Ukrainian identity. I think we all know the consequences of being deprived of their language, culture, their families, their identity. This is a form of colonialism that the world cannot tolerate.”, – noted Justin Trudeau.
We will remind you that more than 19,000 Ukrainian children were taken to Russia and the occupied territories. So far, more than 600 young Ukrainians have been returned.
We will remind, during the final photo following the results of the first day of the conference, the Prime Minister of Canada surprised the participants with good Ukrainian.
