Children injured in massive drone strike on Dnieper
On the night of January 7, Dnipro was subjected to a massive attack by Russian strike drones, as a result of which seven people were injured, including – two children.
According to data of the Dnipropetrovsk ODA, as of 07:30 on January 7, seven people were known to have been injured, including – children aged 8 and 16. The teenager was hospitalized in moderate condition. Doctors diagnosed acute stress reactions in most of the wounded, and shrapnel wounds were also recorded. All victims are receiving treatment in city hospitals.
The attack damaged more than ten high-rise buildings, with several hundred windows broken, and the heating network near one of the buildings was damaged. Private houses, administrative buildings, cars, infrastructure facilities, and a gas pipeline were also damaged.
A vocational school was also hit, where a fire broke out, which was later extinguished, but the training workshop and student dormitory suffered significant damage. Two kindergartens and a school were damaged by the blast wave and debris.
Rescuers continue to dismantle structures, survey the areas, and provide assistance to the population affected by enemy strikes.
