Chinese robot dogs with automatic machines already know how to run and even kill: the Pentagon appealed to the Senate (video)

In a hearing last week, members of the US House of Representatives introduced an initiative that would require the Pentagon to assess the potential use of China’s four-legged unmanned ground vehicle in future conflicts.
As informs The Defense Post.
The US Secretary of Defense will be required to conduct an investigation and submit a report on the threat to US national security posed by this “robodog” with a rifle.
The proposal was immediately passed by the House of Representatives without objection. However, it must be approved by the Senate, which will consider it along with the annual defense authorization bill in the next few weeks.
“Dogs of War”
Last month, China’s People’s Liberation Army unveiled its latest development, a robot fighting dog with an automatic rifle mounted on its back. A video from a military exercise in Cambodia demonstrates the ability of this four-legged unmanned platform to move, jump, lie down and even move backwards, mimicking the behavior of a real dog.
This technology was successfully used to penetrate an infantry unit into a simulated building during one of the exercises. The dog robot also showed off its firepower by providing tactical support to the troops.
A soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said that this innovation could become a new participant in combat operations in cities, replacing people in the tasks of reconnaissance, identification of the enemy and destruction of targets.
