For the first time within the program “18-24” the contract was signed by girls who became part of the 92nd separate assault brigade and received the positions of drone operators. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“First contract “18-24″ from the 92nd OShBr named after the basket captain Ivan Sirko was signed by the girls – they are going to the positions of UAV operators, – the message says.
This is already the seventh set of contract workers within the framework of the program who took the oath of loyalty to the Ukrainian people in this particular brigade. In July, the program “Contract 18-24” expanded, so now it covers the positions of drone operators.
Terms remained the same, but for pilots the term of service is two years instead of one. Women were also allowed to serve in this position. From February 12, in the application “Reserve+” you can apply for a contract under this program.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine also proposed legislative changes that provide for a 12-month deferment from mobilization for volunteers who have already served under the “Contract 18-24” program. On August 8, the agency announced that UAV operators will be awarded contracts for a period of two years, and the duration of training will be increased to four months.
