De Niro and DiCaprio express support for Kamala Harris in her fight for the US presidency
Actors Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio publicly supported Kamala Harris in her election campaign, urging Philadelphia voters to actively participate in the voting. About this informs CBS.
The event, organized by Philadelphia authorities to increase voter turnout, also brought together other star supporters of Harris, including Kerry Washington, Tessa Thompson and Brian Tyree Henry. The actors came together in support of the candidate, trying to attract more votes for her.
Robert De Niro, who previously repeatedly criticized Republican candidate Donald Trump, spoke in his characteristic straightforward manner: “I am outraged that we are even discussing a character like Donald Trump.”
In addition to actors, popular musicians also expressed their support for Harris. Rapper Bad Bunny, Jennifer Lopez and Ricky Martin united in her support after a scandalous statement by one of Trump’s speakers, who called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage.” The comment sparked outrage among Puerto Ricans and the media community.
