Death toll in Kharkiv rises after new Izdeliye-30 missile strike
The death toll from the missile strike on Kharkiv is rising. On the night of March 7, Russia hit a multi-story residential building with a new Izdeliye-30 cruise missile. This was reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.
Kharkov Mayor Igor Terekhov noted that the rocket had an extremely powerful warhead, which caused significant damage to the building.
“The rocket had a very powerful charge, so its impact led to large-scale destruction,” Terekhov emphasized.
The Main Intelligence Directorate reported the main characteristics of the Izdeliye-30 rocket. Its flight range is about 1,500 kilometers, the weight of the warhead is about 800 kilograms, and the wingspan reaches three meters. Such a missile can be launched from the Tu-95 and Tu-160 strategic bombers.
At least eight people died as a result of a direct hit by a missile on a five-story residential building. Among the victims were two mothers with their children. Another 15 residents of the city were injured, including two children.
