Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Donald Trump agreed on a meeting of delegations in Saudi Arabia to discuss the technical aspects of a partial truce, which provides for the rejection of attacks on energy and civilian infrastructure. About this reported the president of Ukraine after a telephone conversation with Trump on March 19.
“We instructed our teams to resolve technical issues related to the implementation and extension of the partial ceasefire. Ukrainian and American groups are ready to meet in Saudi Arabia in the coming days to continue coordinating steps on the way to peace.” – noted Zelensky.
According to him, Ukraine is currently preparing a corresponding list of infrastructure that Kyiv considers “priority and civilian” that Russia is targeting.
“We will prepare a list and accordingly the technical group will go. The meeting will be as soon as it is convenient for the groups — Friday, Saturday, Sunday. One of these days.” – explained the president of Ukraine.
At the same time, Donald Trump characterized the conversation with Zelensky as “very good” and specified that a significant part of it was devoted to discussing his previous conversation with Vladimir Putin, aimed at harmonizing the interests and needs of both Russia and Ukraine.
