Demand for used cars from the USA in Ukraine increased by 79%: which models are most often chosen
In the first nine months of 2024, almost 33,500 used cars imported from the USA were registered in Ukraine. About this informs “Ukravtoprom”.
It is noted that 19% of all used cars that received Ukrainian license plates this year came from America. Demand for such cars increased by 79% compared to the same period in 2023.
Analysts note that 45% of these cars have gasoline engines, while electric vehicles occupy 35% of the market. Hybrid cars and cars with gas cylinder equipment have a 7% share, and diesel cars – 6%.
The average age of used cars from the USA is 5.9 years.

- Tesla Model 3 – 3,613 units;
- Tesla Model Y – 3035 units;
- Ford Escape – 2236 units;
- Jeep Cherokee – 2014 units;
- Volkswagen Passat – 1921 units.
The car market in Ukraine
We will remind that in September, Ukrainians bought 5,700 new passenger cars, which is 30% less compared to August 2024. Renault Duster continues to be the leader of the new car market.
Also, in September, the Ukrainian fleet was replenished with 17,000 used cars imported from abroad. Cars with traditional engines accounted for 63% of the new passenger car market, which is 5% less than last year.
