Zelenskyy signed a law that simplifies document flow for businesses

The President of Ukraine signed a law that simplifies the execution of primary documents when providing services and reduces the bureaucratic burden on business. Corresponding amendments have been made to Article 9 of the Law “On Accounting and Financial Reporting in Ukraine”.

The document provides for the waiver of mandatory acts of work performed in a number of cases. From now on, in the primary documents on the provision of services, the signature of only one person is sufficient – the representative of the contractor, who is responsible for conducting the business transaction.

According to the new rules, if the document indicates the date or period of the transaction, the absence of such details as the position, surname or signature of the representative of the customer or tenant will not be considered a violation. This is possible provided that the relevant procedure for registration is directly provided for in a written contract, and the transactions themselves are reflected in accounting in the period of their implementation.

At the same time, these norms do not apply to transactions financed from public funds, as well as to lease agreements for state or municipal property, construction contracts, design and survey works, donations, charitable or humanitarian aid.

The draft law was developed by the relevant parliamentary committee on finance, tax and customs policy.
