Deputy Prosecutor General Ihor Mustets has submitted his resignation
Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ihor Mustetsa submitted his resignation. This is reported by DW DW.
Ihor Mustetsa has written a resignation letter of his own free will and will leave his post on September 8. He has been working as a Deputy Prosecutor General since April 2020, when he was appointed to this position during the term of office of Irina Venediktova. Prior to that, he held the position of first deputy prosecutor of the Chernivtsi region.
We remind you that in June hromadske published investigation, which noted that during the full-scale war, relatives of the Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ihor Mustetsa became owners of elite real estate and purchased expensive cars worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
In particular, it was reported that at the beginning of the invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, the father of the Deputy Prosecutor General Vasyl Mustets took 1 million 100 thousand dollars and 100 thousand euros to Romania without declaring these funds.
In addition, in the fall of 2022, Ihor Mustetsa’s sister, Natalia Antonyuk, took ownership of an apartment in the “French Quarter-2” residential complex in Kyiv. Real estate worth over 2.5 million hryvnias was given to her by a retired neighbor who did not have a business.
During the full-scale war, Mustets’ relatives became the owners of new elite real estate. In total, the prosecutor’s family owns property worth about 1 million dollars. It was also noted that his father took 110,000 dollars and 110,000 euros abroad, and his sister received an apartment in Kyiv worth 8 million hryvnias as a gift from a neighbor.
