DOK-ING increased the level of localization of demining machine production in Ukraine

Croatian manufacturer of demining machines DOK-ING has increased the level of production localization to 30% and plans to increase it to 50% in 2026 by starting the production of reinforced machine bodies and other components. The company announced such plans on the eve of the first anniversary of its office in Ukraine.

DOK-ING together with the A3Tech company started the production of spare parts, repair and assembly of machines, creating a full cycle of maintenance and repair of equipment. In 2024, Ukraine collected 8 demining machines and provided 3.6 thousand spare parts necessary for their repair and maintenance.

“Production of components in Ukraine speeds up maintenance and repair of equipment many times over. This means that the machines can quickly return to the fields to work, and will not be idle for weeks in repairs. In addition, it significantly saves state funds. Thus, according to A3Tech’s calculations, the State Emergency Service and State Security Service saved more than 7 million hryvnias on components made by a Ukrainian manufacturer than if they had been purchased directly in Croatia,” said Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine Ihor Bezkaravainy.

According to the company, investments in the Ukrainian office during the year were aimed at creating 72 jobs, setting up assembly and service lines, as well as training more than 300 DOK‑ING machine operators.

Today, 69 DOK‑ING machines are operating in 10 regions of Ukraine. They cleared more than 25 million m² of territory and neutralized more than 10,000 explosive objects, in particular in the Donetsk, Chernihiv, Kherson, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Mykolaiv and Odesa regions.

DOK-ING is a Croatian manufacturer of robotic systems for humanitarian demining. The company has more than 500 machines in more than 40 countries, including Ukraine, Iraq, Afghanistan and Azerbaijan. Starting in 2022, the company will supply equipment to Ukraine that is used by the State Emergency Service, DSST, ZSU, as well as international partners — Fondation Suisse de Déminage (FSD) and Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA).
