DPRK deploys military to Russia: Centre for Countering Disinformation

The North Korean military, who were in the Far East of Russia, were moved deep into Russian territory, reported Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Combating Disinformation at the NSDC, in his Telegram channel.

There is a movement of North Korean troops from the Far East of the Russian Federation deep into Russia. Let me remind you that Russia plans to use Koreans to begin with in the Kursk region“, Kovalenko noted.

Earlier it was reported that North Korea is providing Russia with missiles and military personnel for the war against Ukraine. In exchange, Pyongyang invited technology for tactical nuclear weapons. This was announced by the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov.

According to Budanov’s predictions, the first units of the North Korean troops should arrive in the Kursk region as early as October 23 to support the Russian forces in repelling the offensive of the Armed Forces.

Budanov previously stated that there are about 11,000 North Korean soldiers in eastern Russia who are being trained to participate in the war against Ukraine. North Korea also sent pilots to Russia for use on Russian military aircraft.

At the same time, North Korea denies any accusations by South Korea and Ukraine about sending troops to participate in the war on the side of Russia, calling such statements “baseless rumors” and asserting that its cooperation with Moscow is “legitimate and based on cooperation.”
