Drones attacked refineries in the Leningrad region

On the night of March 8, in the Leningrad region, drones attacked one of the largest oil refineries in Russia. About this reported Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Combating Disinformation.
The blow was inflicted on the refinery “Kyryshinefteorgsintez” (KINEF), which is located at a distance of more than 800 km from the border with Ukraine.
“Its processing capacity is about 20.1 million tons of oil per year, which makes it the second largest refinery in the country after the Omsk Oil Refinery”, Kovalenko noted.
The plant specializes in the production of gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil and other petroleum products. According to the governor of the Leningrad Region, Oleksandr Drozdenko, debris from the downed drone damaged the external structure of one of the tanks. There are no official casualties.
