President of Poland Andrzej Duda v interview for the Republic of Tatarstan emphasized the need to provide Ukraine with all the resources for a complete victory in the war against Russia, noting that this is a security issue not only for Ukraine, but also for all of Europe.
Duda categorically rejected ideas about any territorial concessions in favor of Russia, calling such proposals “disastrous”.
“If you are so generous to Russia, why not give them a piece of your land? Any sovereign country, for example, Russia – on what basis, I ask you, does Russia deserve anything – especially on foreign territory?”, he asked, emphasizing the absurdity of such ideas.
The President of Poland also expressed his belief that with sufficient support, Kyiv will be able to return all temporarily occupied territories. He assured that Poland remains a reliable partner of Ukraine and continues to work on the strategic project “Eastern Shield” – a new system of fortifications on the eastern border, which will become a kind of “iron curtain” against Russian aggression.
“The system of fortifications on the eastern border, the construction of which will begin soon, is the answer to Russia’s insatiable imperial plans.”Duda explained.
At the same time, he added that the country is ready to “raise the iron curtain” to protect its citizens, if this becomes a necessary step to ensure their safety.
