Due to bad weather, trains of “Ukrzaliznytsia” are running with delays throughout Ukraine
Due to the worsening weather conditions, the movement of trains of “Ukrzaliznytsia” throughout Ukraine is taking place with deviations from the schedule. As reported, the bad weather led to technical problems on certain sections of the railway, which caused delays to a number of flights.
In particular, in the Kyiv region, the fall of a support of an external 110 kV power transmission line damaged the contact network, as a result of which one of the sections was temporarily left without power supply. The company noted that currently “the most noticeable delay” is recorded for train No. 10/9 Budapest – Kyiv.
“Ukrzaliznytsia” reported that the obstacle has already been removed, power supply has been restored, and trains that were delayed are gradually returning to service. The company also said in a statement that for those flights that arrive in Kyiv during curfew hours, bus transfers around the city are being provided with the assistance of the Kyiv City State Administration.
