During his visit to the United States, Volodymyr Zelensky met with representatives of Raytheon, which produces Patriot complexes.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, during his working visit to the United States, held a meeting with representatives of the American defense company Raytheon, a manufacturer of Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems in particular.
During the meeting, Zelensky informed the partners about the situation on the front and the increase in the number of Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure. The parties discussed Raytheon’s production capacities, possible areas of cooperation to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense and increase its long-range capabilities. There are already concrete solutions that can increase the level of security of Ukrainian citizens, and Ukraine is working on their implementation at all levels.
“Thank you Raytheon for your willingness to continue to support Ukraine”, – Zelensky emphasized.
Patriot is an American medium- and long-range air defense system created by Raytheon. It is designed to intercept and destroy aircraft, cruise and ballistic missiles at considerable distances.
The system uses modern radars and high-precision missiles capable of hitting targets at altitudes of up to several dozen kilometers. Patriot is considered one of the most effective air defense systems in the world and is actively operated by the US Army and NATO countries.
