During the 9 months of operation of the Ukrainian Corridor, 45 million tons of goods were exported
According to Ministries development of communities, territories and infrastructure of Ukraine, during the first 9 months of operation of the “Ukrainian Corridor” almost 1,600 ships exported 45 million tons of cargo to 44 countries of the world.
The vast majority of exports (more than 30 million tons) are products of Ukrainian farmers, which makes Ukraine one of the key players in the world food market, even in wartime conditions.
The “Ukrainian Corridor” is an initiative agreed by Turkey, the UN and Ukraine, which allows ships to safely export grain and other food products from Ukrainian Black Sea ports. This corridor plays an important role in preventing the global food crisis and ensuring food security around the world.
As of May 10, 2024, another 108 ships are heading to Ukrainian ports, intending to export more than 3 million tons of cargo.
