During the year, Ukraine doubled the export of shellfish
According to data According to the State Customs Service, in the first quarter of 2024, Ukraine exported 217 tons of shellfish, which is 2.1 times more than in the same period last year.
In monetary terms, exports reached $606,000, which is 1.9 times more than in January-March 2023.
The main buyers of Ukrainian shellfish in the 1st quarter of 2024 were:
- Spain (84%)
- Georgia (6.8%)
- Greece (5.1%)
Ukraine also imported shellfish:
- 1.1 thousand tons in the first three months of 2024, which is 19.4% more than in the same period of 2023.
- $3.8 million was spent, which is 18.8% more than in January-March last year.
The largest suppliers of shellfish to the Ukrainian market this year were:
- China (35.2%)
- Peru (17.6%)
- France (16.3%)
