People’s Deputy Anna Skorokhod claims that NABU fabricated photos of her apartment

People’s Deputy Anna Skorokhod stated that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, when declaring her under suspicion, allegedly used false illustrations. On Facebook, she wrote that the photos that NABU presented as footage from her search were not actually from her home: “this is a photo from someone else’s apartment“.

In her opinion, nothing was found on her during the investigative actions, so the bureau “decided to illustrate the news with fake photos”. To prove this, the People’s Deputy released a video where she allegedly shows her apartment and claims that it does not match the published photos.

Skorokhod also rejected the content of the NABU video, in which the person involved in the case allegedly promises to organize NSDC sanctions against businesses for money. The deputy called this recording “montage and clippings out of context” and assured that she would show the full version later. At the same time, she emphasized:

“I was not arrested. I was served with a suspicion, but they could not support it with anything. I am ready to cooperate, because I have nothing to hide. Moreover, I will demand a full investigation into this provocation.

In addition, Skorokhod stated that the NABU’s actions may be an attempt to disrupt her working trip to the US, which, according to her, is “effective and gaining momentum”. She considers the case a manifestation of “fabricated political pressure”.

Earlier, NABU reported that it had declared suspicion against Skorokhod herself, her assistant, and another alleged accomplice. The investigation suspects them of fraud and creating a criminal group: according to the bureau, the defendants allegedly promised to organize the application of NSDC sanctions against a competing company for $250,000.
